# Who prescribes peptides, and how to reach one

This guide sees no one, writes no prescriptions, and makes no bookings. Find the people, records, and questions involved in seeking care.

## A path from question to conversation

For U.S. care as of September 2026, prescription medicine required an order from a licensed prescriber, such as a doctor. As of November 3, 2026, nurse practitioners and physician assistants could also assess you and prescribe within their state's rules on professional authority and doctor involvement.

### 1. Find your question

Put your concern into words, learn the basic terms, and find out what a prescribing role means.

## Keep the decision clear

Read in order or open the question that brought you here. The steps organize learning, with space to reconsider along the way.

### Your concern first

Describe what brought you here. Leave room for a conversation before choosing a medicine.

### Names you can check

Ask who makes the decision and which public record holds their professional details.

### Room for your questions

Bring the unclear terms into the open. Ask for an answer in words you can use.

### A route back

Ask how the conversation continues and how the next professional gets the record.

## What would you like the visit to settle?

A medicine name is only part of the conversation. Put your concern, your questions, and the missing answers on the same page.

### Prepare for the conversation

Ask about the assessment, the proposed choices, and what happens afterward.

## Ask about the conversation after the visit

Before paying, find out how a later question reaches the prescriber. Ask who explains a test result and how to get the written record.

## Care continues after the visit

Keep the practical details close: the pharmacy name, the route for questions, and the cost of another conversation. Leave space to ask again when something is unclear.
